Experience. The open eyes methodology works pretty well for that, until the setup into tactical branches becomes instinctive. Also important is to trim out excess and inefficiencies- all the little unknown habits that change a situation into something not on your tactical tree, instead of everything you do narrowing the focus. Good training with a robust tactical map.

Waiting to see a response is not a good idea- you could almost always be doing something in that time to shape the response you want. Waiting for a known response to occur, because of slow reaction or whatever, is possible, but the "when" known element is the worst to give up.

That action would be a 1st intention if you knew the parry was going to occur. If you didn't, it'd be an open eyes. If the parry was successful and you knew it would happen, and you planned to remise on angle 2, that'd be 2nd intention. If the parry was unexpected, and you landed the remise, that'd be like an untrained open eyes.considerphlebashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10181761769189564293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1622708076425578660.post-84280196538721424052011-06-24T16:35:13.209-07:002011-06-24T16:35:13.209-07:00(unconscious incompetence -> conscious incompet...(unconscious incompetence -> conscious incompetence -> conscious competence -> unconscious competence)

on unforeseen beginning - unforeseen end:
what's a realistic training format?

i think i had read something from sword and circle about, building the toolbox with few tools to increase proficiency and promote flow.

is it something like mechanics, fundamentals, creativity? be the feeder?

how realistic is it to attack and wait for the response in corto or medio?

for instance, is thinking about this two-part action:
(a thrust to the low line -> to deceive the parry with a redondo on angle 2)

weaker than a process of two single parts?todaycomestheblackmachinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09528749584271781488noreply@blogger.com
